sunspiral for the heat wave
After work I spent the hot evening singing loud shape note songs with a bunch of friends. Then some of us found a swimming hole and floated around telling stories and looking at stars and fireflies. I didn’t get into my studio until I got home late. So here’s my drawing for the day, I only spent a minute, but it counts.
who puts the sweetness into the late summer peaches?
No, my dog does not have fleas, but he’s still kind of itchy.
Another bright, flat design-y thing that I wish I’d had more time to work on. Maybe wishes can drive changes, we shall see.
(Update 8/10/17) I did get more time to spend on this one, now it feels done enough to let go.

Night lifts her wings to end a long summer day
I live in a place with lots of small farms. On my drive home I passed a couple of fields where they were cutting and baling hay. Thinking about harvest, even after this dry dry summer.
