I really don’t do calligraphy, but I can find a state of serene calm for long stretches while drawing these curving lines.
Started to color this one, then stopped myself, thinking I might like to have it preserved as a potential coloring page.
And then I colored it in. Actually pretty glad I saved the line drawing first!

I was thinking of all the bees killed in SC, collateral damage of the effort to control zika-bearing mosquitos. Sometimes it’s hard to remember determined optimism in the face of all the news.
Finding refuge in beautiful geometries
I don’t often go back and work on a drawing after posting, but this one seemed worth it
