All day and evening at Northern Roots, a traditional music festival in Brattleboro VT. Started this drawing while listening to a wonderful harpist, Dominique Dodge.
I am really enjoying ending my day with these line drawings. They’re black Acryla-Gouache on paper coated with a gray-tinted gesso. Slowly I’m coloring them with paint and crayon; I’ll post the colored versions on the page with the original line drawing when done, and maybe do a separate post with a gallery.
This is the first time in these 8+ years of daily drawings that I’ve been revisiting a series over time instead of drawing it on the day, posting it, and filing it away in a pile. I’ve done that here and there if a particular drawing didn’t feel quite done when I posted it, but this feels different, more intentional and organized.
