Still digging my life out from the vacation backlog. I like to imagine there’s a great serenity watching the loud busyness of the world

Back home, re-connecting with my cats, and trying to absorb all the implications of return to regular life

Last day of vacation. saying goodbye to this dream of leisure and escape

I saw a fabulous tangle of roots on a downed tree by the lake. It was a living knot, tying itself invisibly until the fall ended its life.
