Inktober day 30: Catch.
I really do miss my colors, but I really didn’t cheat, these colors are all ink.
May we all honor and mourn the life of the fish even as we enjoy eating it for dinner, deep fried, with chips. We may equally mourn the life of the potatoes, and all the other green ones who die with the frost, leaving roots and seeds to bring the next generation when the cold passes.
I’m just having too much fun with these coloring pages
and now with color (update 2 October 2018):
gessoed paper allows for a lot more lifting and smooshing of the water soluble crayon colors.
I’m having much fun with water-soluble graphite pencils and ink washes
My parents have a Klee still life featuring a fish on a platter, which I looked at a lot as a kid. I think I see its echoes often in my drawings.
Apparently you get lines or you get colors, I can’t manage to do both!
Seriously, I have to figure out how I want to manage all the coloring pages, because I want to color them!
