First day of vacation. Trying to let go of anxious thinking, but those thoughts are toothy and slippery!
I’m finding it hard to reconnect with the freedom of my daily drawing practice after the month of portraits. I think for a little while I will limit the time allowed on the daily drawing, partly to force myself to be less fussy, and partly to make sure I have time to finish my other May projects!
Update 4/2/18: I continued working on this drawing until I’m more satisfied with it:
a princess and a cup of tea
she’s out dancing in the gardens of her fancy
started out as a princess but ended up more like an angsty haunted doll
summer princess featuring new colors of crayon and paint
I wonder if the fact that I have GLOW (“Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling” playing in the background as I draw has anything to do with the emergence of this dancing princess.
