I had to get caught up with work today; no time to set foot in studio. Managed this while sitting in the car between meetings.
I haven’t figured out how to scan pencil sketches so they look good, but at least you can see most of the lines.
Back home in my own studio, still feeling the warmth of family connections
After many hours on the road, followed by a great dinner with a dear and seldom-seen cousin.

I’m about to go on the road and be away from my studio and all my usual drawing materials for a few days. It makes me appreciate all the colors and textures I have at hand at my drawing table. I’ll catch up scanning and posting whatever I’ve managed to draw when I get back….
new leaves on the vines
tangled skein
I drew myself a burfday pup
a man in the wilderness said to me, how many strawberries grow in the sea?
I answered him as I thought good, as many herrings as live in the wood.
I think I’ve done variations of this drawing more than once before, not sure why that nursery rhyme has stuck with me so strongly.
