So interesting! A lot of my daily practice has been about conversation with, and defiance of, my internal critics. I imagine a lot of people harbor their own panels of judges and critics, whether they name them so or not.
These Five People were localized outside of my head and were experienced as voices coming from outside me for many years. Now I understand that they were imagined or created by my brain but for a long time I experienced them as very real. Anyhow I agree that many people have a “judges panel” in their psyche and I love that you engage in conversation and paint them. I painted and drew The Five People many times over the years myself.
