There’s a wall on my street that the neighborhood organization wants to paint a mural on. Part of the proposed design will be a pair of supplicant hands and a phoenix, with the word “COMMUNITY” as a banner above or below. I’m starting to work out some of the design elements.
A friend of mine who enjoys owls has suffered serious injury. A facebook page has been set up for her and her close caretakers, which has been flooded with images of owls, and with notes of encouragement and support for the past couple of weeks. No wonder that owls keep finding their way into my daily drawing.
