This one is definitely in the series of Princesses who are blockade runners. I am grateful to have among my friends Queens who understand well the magic of Glamour, and don’t allow the world to stop them from using it.
In the houses I grew up in, there were a few pieces of art on the walls that I spent a fair amount of time looking at. One had a young woman in a pale yellow sari. Another was a Klee print of a fish on a plate. I think they may have merged somewhere in my memory.
I had 15 minutes in the studio, between getting home from work and settling into a family zoom. That is enough time to cover a page with crayon, pencil and ink. What is this song about? Maybe trying to get the important things done well enough and in time, mixed with a little chaotic anticipation of a snowy day.
