The original post of this goes back a ways, to 17 July 2020. I’m back playing with color pencils, which take time to get the results I like, so it’s been slow going for a few days. This one was originally watercolor, now overlayed with the color pencil. It’s probably not finished, but I’m not sure how much more time I want to put into it.
Going back to the original pencil sketch, I’m not so sure this is an improvement. But, colors!
I again have a backlog of drawings and paintings that I want to put more work into, rather than starting more new things. So, here are a few of the postcard-sized watercolors I made the week I was away.
I have a few more to post tomorrow, and we’ll see what happens after that!
I didn’t push myself very hard to make art; I was too busy doing vacation things like kayaking on the beautiful lake, taking walks, playing games with my family and so on. Here’s the one rather slapdash watercolor I made from my cabin porch. I also made several 3″ x 5″ postcard watercolors, which I may post tomorrow.
I am about to take my annual lakeside vacation week. So starting tomorrow, there will be no posts for a bit more than a week. If I make some art to share, I’ll post it when I get back. Happy Juneteenth, Summer Solstice, and anything else you may celebrate in the coming week!
