Under the circumstances, we barely acknowledged christmas day. I did have a glorious view of the Cascade mountains from where I was staying, so much more stark and jagged than the rolling old mountains back home

I went to help out a family member who had been gravely ill. The first couple of days I stayed in a hotel near the rehab center.
I think it’ll be evident that a lot of my drawings have to do with growth and connection, and healing.

I literally went to sleep in the middle of this one. Not all the ink spots are intentional….
I am about to spend two or three weeks away from my scanner. So this is the last post in 2013. The rest of my 2013 daily drawings should appear in a lump when I get back home. Blessed solstice and whatever festivities you enjoy at this time of the year!
