ALT: graphite and watercolor. three faces so close that they are touching each other, the middle one is smiling widely and the other two are enjoying more quietly, and musical staves weave among them. I was fortunate to attend a concert of a trio led by John Zorn this evening. This drawing is not at all portraiture, but a representation of how wonderful it was to watch the communication and precision among the musicians as they produced sometimes gloriously chaotic-sounding noise.
