weekend vacation
–I’ve been on the road, traveling and visiting. It was great, but I’m pretty happy to be back home and in my artspace.

wind harvest

A blue-gray arc slices in from the bottom left, and there’s something that might have started out as a pine tree sort of floating beyond it on the left, I’m really not sure what it’s doing there, or what it’s trying to be.
warrior of sunlight and air
ALT: ink drawing, abstract, but it could be seen as the upper part of a being that seems to be made of bones and fibers. The background color is mostly yellow and rose, hence the title.
garden offering
ALT: ink doodle. Some kind of blob-shaped critter is holding a flower in its hand and mouth. The critter is yellow with a green stripe, has antennae and a rat tail. The flower is something like a sunflower.
friends a long time.
I just spent the weekend with three people I’ve been friends with since highschool, so 50 years now. This is not a portrait of us really, it’s more like a tribute.

waiting in your garden
ALT: crayon and ink drawing. A spring onion supports a butterfly in the upper left corner; a cartooney rabbit critter casts a wary eye toward a sort of spider. Some random lines of pale green triangles provide a sort of structure for the extra space in the drawing.
flock of arcs
ALT: crayon drawing. A swarm of green fish shapes, seen from above, swim through a series of interlaced circles and arcs. The fish actually started out as leaves, that’s probably why they’re green.
moon baby seeds
ALT: colored ink drawing, simple lines and shapes, mostly blues and greens with a few pink-orange spots. There’s a crescent moon up top, balanced on the leaves of a plant, which also enclose a compact oval-shape that could be a tiny person. there’s another, larger one, head downwards, off to the right. That one is in a water-drop shape, that is connected to the ground by a series of yellow droplets. I didn’t have anything profound in the front of my mind; I just wanted to relax into simple, pleasing shapes and colors.
