The pond on my walk has warmed up enough to be showing abundant signs of life – koi, newts, frogs and their eggs, and waterlilies starting to reach for the surface!

I started with a couple of flapper butterflies, took a journey through abstract expressionism, and ended up with the butterfly princesses ready for a ball. I tried to make serious art, but oh well.

Fruits of Justice.
I had jury duty this morning. I was not selected to be on the jury; my number was never called, but I got as far as the courtroom and learned what the case was to be (criminal, aggravated assault and battery). At the end of the day all I wanted was something very balanced, very symmetrical, and alive.
