cold season closing in

Arrived in New Orleans, settled into a house with a pile of beloved family members. The wedding colors are blue and orange. The preparations are well under way.

hold the warmth close as we head into the cold months.

my garden is succumbing to the frost, bit by bit. I wait anxiously for the killing frost that will end everything but the hardiest greens.

(scanner bed needs cleaning again!!) This was from my first day away from home. Evening visit with a cousin, at a house I’ve known and loved my whole life. The nerves of packing and prepping starting to smooth out, as there’s nowhere else to be, and nothing else to do, but follow this adventure.

I’m going on a week-long trip, which will be a lot of fun and family, but I don’t really like leaving my home base and will be very happy to return! in the meantime, daily posts won’t be happening. I look forward to resuming, once we get to the other side of the trip!
