I have a policy of not apologizing for or excusing any of my daily arts. But I would like to say that this is the kind of thing that can happen when your stomach is really upset and you don’t feel like making art, and do it anyway because that is the practice.
Back to the Daily Art routine. I’ll try limiting the time for my initial work on the page. Then whatever time I have left over is free for other projects, or to push the daily farther if I want to.
A new year. I want to try shifting my practice a bit, to allow for more time to work on longer term projects, and to maybe push some of the old pieces further along. I’ll try to still confront a blank page every day, and to post something here every day, but I may not post the daily exercise. It might be (as today’s is), or it might be something else I’ve worked on in studio that day. We’ll see how it goes – and I’m looking forward to it!
