window wall
ALT: crayon and ink. Two red birds in flight. the background is a wall of big windows, like a conservatory or large office building. There is some foliage at the bottom, and an unexplained curved line of dots the same color as the birds. Not really a flight path, or maybe it is?
I’m just posting these b/c I like the way they look all in a batch. Look back at my 22 June post to see the template for these little ink puddles.
I might start making 9 at a time, just so I can have an even grid.

ALT: water soluble crayon and ink, in the colors of chicory and daylilies. It looks like windows in an apartment building, sort of. The middle window has some plants in it. There’s a big arched window on the left, that has little stars or sparkles in it, and another smaller one on the top right with what could be wrought iron fancywork.
high summer
in response to my friend Jeff’s suggestion that “calligraphic chicory-monster-syllabary rain” might be forthcoming. But no monsters, at least in this one. Maybe they’re hiding in the foliage.

gyroscape
ALT: crayon and watercolor, in soft blues and red/pinks. The drawing is vertically oriented, with something like water on the lower part, but the upper part seems to be a lake-and-hill landscape, oriented 90 degrees off. You could probably orient the page so that the landscape would settle, but that’s not the way I drew it.
peering
ALT: ink drawing, abstract bright colors. Geometric shapes in reds and oranges, bordered by yellow. And then, because ultimately everything becomes a face, I drew curly black and green lines on top to make one. With a lot of extraneous other lines and dots to decorate.
drunken bonding
ALT: crayon drawing, sort of abstract expressionist I guess, two people in conversation, but definitely looking a bit off balance. I did indeed make this one after attending a show, followed by some ridiculous conversation at a local bar.
ink pots
ALT: ink drawing in bright colors: pinks and purples on a green background. Abstract-ish, the main shape could be a fancy bottle I suppose, or pile of something twisted and decorated, paired with a big pink flower shape. The decorations are mostly within teardrop shapes on the bottle thing. I was just playing with shapes and colors.

the angry eye
ALT: abstract, crayon and ink. There is something that could be the eye of a cat or a snake near the middle, and several lines of big calligraphic imaginary writing swooping around. A lot of motion/emotion.
