The house is starting to empty again, and I’m still in recovery mode so skipped the pub caroling that I usually enjoy on Christmas Eve. Had a lovely quiet day, feeling at last a hope that I might catch up with myself and regain enough energy to get back on with things. So here’s to hope.
Also, I have finally with this post caught up with scanning and posting my drawings since my Thanksgiving vacation!!!
This is the day my family will celebrate together this year. My grown children are home; we’ll feast, exchange gifts in a chaotic fashion, and play an epic DnD quest based very loosely on A Child’s Christmas in Wales.
Happy festivities to all, however you may or may not celebrate!
Quote from a Ruth Pelham song that’s running through me this solstice evening. I have hit the wall in terms of socializing, and am not going anywhere to celebrate the longest night or the dawn after it, but it is warming me to know that I have many friends enjoying each other’s company in other places, where I would be welcome if I had enough energy to travel.
