nerve endings

One way you could look at it, you might see the end of a bone, with some nerve endings (or bare trees, or river tributaries) touching it and nearby. If you see something else, that’s also correct.

guard what matters

A purple shape stands over or beside it; could be a bird (if so, pretty small relative to the egg), or a swirl of heavy smoke? Anyway, it’s all before a backdrop of blue and green, with a sort of shadowy tree thing in the distance, above the egg .
Labor Day – make a noise
ALT: crayon drawing. Three beings in front of a green hill, one is dancing, one is yelling and carrying a flag, one is holding a sign high. No realism in evidence. Everyone is purple and blue, and the middle one has big boots.
bag of shadows
ALT: big pinkish red bag on a gray-blue background. The bag, I imagine, is lit from within, and shadows are cast of scraggly foliage, a flying bird, something like a dragon head, and maybe a weird shaped log. Actually I went to see “Feral”, a puppet and actor theater thing by Sandglass Theater, and they did something very like this in their production, where a tent-shaped prop became a huge bell skirt for a masked actor, a stage for puppetry, and a screen for shadow work. Brilliant stuff.
the voice of experience
ALT: ink drawing. two sweet round little rodents have their backs to us, and face a BIG creature of the same ilk, who has three sharp teeth, crazed eyes and a manic expression. But cute ears. The littles are blue and green; the big one is purple.
hopeful harpy

a big tent
ALT: ink drawing. a stylized sun with black and yellow rays shines below a blue roof or sky made of swoopy curves. Some streaks that could be birds spangle the sky-web. The drawing also works with the sun at the top, but this is the orientation I had it while drawing.

weekend vacation
–I’ve been on the road, traveling and visiting. It was great, but I’m pretty happy to be back home and in my artspace.
