Quick crayon doodle after a lovely show and before bed. Although in retrospect I probably should have included a yellow jacket on the flower, for the one that attacked me while guarding its nest from my gardening depredations. I only got stung twice, but it certainly colored my evening!

Not sure where this came from, but it reminds me of a cluster of very odd caterpillars I saw whilst picking blueberries in my sister’s garden. Apparently what I saw were yellow-necked caterpillars, you can read more about them here.

Bugs rule.

I spent all afternoon and evening happily singing songs with good friends, and here I am basking in the glow.
