when I was a kid, I loved oriental carpets that had pictures of odd animals among intertwined foliage. I recall staring at them during boring adult conversations, and imagining an escape into their jungle world.
A friend went into hospice this morning. I’ve been witness to the outpouring of love for her and for the community and family that holds her dear.
