I’m in a bit of a prickly funk
ALT: acrylic painting, abstract expressionist I guess, a sad-looking face peers back from within a corona of pink and red spikes and darts.

I think it’s finished now.
below are the two previous posted versions

ALT: pop art tabby cat, copper with blue stripes and a white bib, two large floating flower blossoms, and a butterfly. The version directly below it has the colors but now shading, and the original post on 3/21/24 was a black and white line drawing.

sproing
ALT: close-up of a pale green shoot withe scrawly dark green marks climbing all over it. The two long leaves seem to be droopy as if not enough water lately but they’re still very green and would revive. Dirt below, and behind is yellow and pale blue circle of light. The right edge of the page is night-black, but we have entered the light half of the year so it’s no longer dominant.

Not a new art, I first posted this one a year ago (3/21/24) but finally getting around to putting more colors on it. Still not done, but it’s what I did with my art time this day.
ALT: stylized painting of a tabby cat (copper with blue stripes) with two large flower blossoms and a butterfly. Kind of a pop art esthetic. Lots of blue, yellow and green.

joyful vernal equinox to all. the daylight hours now outnumber the dark ones. may it be so in all our lives.
ALT: very slapdash acrylic painting of a large flower bud on a stem, with little shine marks over it, and a phalanx of sprouting seeds swarming toward it, I have to say a bit like sperms to an ovum.

way past my bedtime
ALT: abstract crayon and acrylic painting. There’s a blue ground that looks watery, then some kind of blue arc in what would be the ‘sky’, with sunset orange above that. Set in the ‘water’ is a purple structure of some kind, angular and open, more like a scaffold than a building. In front of that are black lines and shapes, that look a little more organic but still a scaffold of sorts. and some webs and spirals of thinner black lines traced around and through. One spot of yellow-orange peeks through from behind the purple. it really was late, and I really had no big ideas about images, just putting feelings into lines and colors.

ready to fight
I’ve started using alt-text on Bluesky when I post, and I might as well include those descriptions here:
acrylic painting in mostly blues and purples with black and white lines depicting a personage with wavy hair updo, scowling and standing by a tree. They might be holding a scalp, or that might be another spectral personage seen from behind, with the same wavy hair hanging down instead of standing up. or maybe it’s the spirit of the tree.
