last call
ALT: crayon and acrylic. Some kind of bird, with storky orange legs and bill, blue and purple plumage, tail a bit like a rooster. Abstract green and blue background, to use up the acrylic paint currently on my palette. I’m going for a hip replacement on the 27th, and probably won’t be able to get to my art space for a week or two. So cheers till then.
wiggle and shout
ALT: crayon drawing, abstract. A bunch of curly mauve and lilac curly lines, surrounded by some short straight yellowish shout lines. Probably I’ll add some more to this one, if I feel like it.
river of souls

storm looms
ALT: crayon drawing. two rather meat-colored clouds sit heavily in a dark blue watery sky. Or maybe it’s islands on an ocean. Soft green and pink land in the foreground, with some prickly foliage of imaginary writing spinning across it in pink and green.

ALT: crayon drawing, abstract. A big pink sack-like shape is surrounded by some meandering lines, apparently drawn by a couple of winged bug-like shapes. There’s some other stuff going on, something that looks like a tadpole in the upper left corner, which might have emerged from the sack? I don’t know, I was just doodling, but I think upcoming surgery is always in the back of my mind.

facing the weather

uneasy sits the crown
ALT: crayon drawing. A pointy, gangly, bird-like creature (mostly pink) wears a crown but doesn’t look too happy about it. Background is yellow land and blue sky. There’s an odd red shape behind the bird’s neck. Is it a sort of pyramid mound on the horizon? or indication of some kind of wound?
I made a sign for tomorrow’s No Kings rally for my daily art today.
ALT: an inflatable tyrannosaurus rex with a huge toothy grin and a little crown on their head is holding a banner saying “no kings but us”. The background is the stars and stripes of the US flag.
looking back
ALT: crayon drawing. A horse or llama-like creature with colorful head and neck-wear seems to be looking over its shoulder at you, although you can’t see its eyes. The background is a sort of fiery red and yellow.
