
Today is a twofer. I made a couple of what my aunts referred to as ‘puddles’. Reminded again of the cerebral rigor that it takes to make good watercolor paintings. But enjoying the sense of freedom I’ve built up through daily practice in other mediums.

Vacation time chatting and joking with family and friends. Cousins working on a jigsaw puzzle, pine trees sighing in the wind outside. Memory images of pebbles under water, pinecones, roots stitching the ground, mushrooms pushing aside the mould. These are some of the things in here.
