exhaustion + exposure to the ‘zentangle’ virus
Today I helped wrap up my last Maypole for 2015, sending out blessing for the fertility of the land and the health of the community
From a workshop last weekend, on the value of experiential learning, particularly in spiritual traditions:
“If I am to teach you, you must not believe anything I tell you.”
and then I was back home again, as happy as a turtle to rediscover its own shell.
He said, “This is my favorite tree of all. Do you know why? Because it is an apple tree.”
More workshop doodling, mixed with notes. Earth, Spirit, Tribe. These are the things that really matter.
The days are so full of activity that I don’t end up drawing from observation at all, rather doodling during workshops. Memory of observations.
I saw four water snakes on my pre-breakfast walk, and spent a couple hours in a workshop playing with “zentangles”. That was a good day.
