I hosted my annual collage-making party on this day, and then went out to hear Kevin O’Rourke and Mark Schwaber perform at the Luthier’s Coop in Easthampton, MA and neglected to bring any paper. So the daily drawing is on a paper towel.

This is a powerful and evocative drawing. Forgive the grimness of my interpretation, for it would allow many variants, but today it put me in mind of the just-released report on human rights atrocities in North Korea and the continuing unfolding of human devastation in Syria.
